Product Introduction

A hydrogen fuel cell Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) is a crucial component in a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). It consists of several layers that work together to facilitate the electrochemical reactions that generate electricity from the chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Here's a breakdown of the components and their roles within the MEA:
1. Catalyst Layer: The MEA has two catalyst layers, one on each side. The anode catalyst layer facilitates the electro chemical oxidation of hydrogen (H2) into protons (H+) and electrons (e-). The cathode catalyst layer promotes the reduction of oxygen(O2)
